Recommended 4 weekly sessions to cover different aspects of programming.

Learn the basics of programming in a playful, interactive way. Create your own programs in Scratch, while you are learning how to write good and clear code.

Pelancar Kapal Terbang Kertas (27 Julai - 2 Ogos 2020)

Waktu Kelas : 10 pagi Atau 2.30 Petang (1 Jam)

Mulakan hari anda dengan cabaran ini: Cuba lontarkan kapal terbang kertas dengan menggerakkan pergelangan tangan anda (jangan gerakkan siku atau bahu anda). Susah, bukan? Bagaimana anda boleh melancarkan kapal terbang anda untuk terbang lebih jauh jika anda hanya dibenarkan menggunakan jarak yang dekat untuk melancarkannya? Cuba cabaran ini untuk mengetahui dengan lebih lanjut!

Payung Terjun (3 - 9 Ogos 2020)

Dalam projek ini, pelajar akan menyiasat bagaimana ciri reka bentuk payung terjun mempengaruhi payung terjun untuk mendarat.

  • Anda boleh menyambung beberapa kepingan plastik sehingga terbentuk kepingan yang lebih besar)

Ini burung! Ini kapal terbang! Ia adalah… objek terbang yang pelik! Pesawat gelung sangat menyeronokkan dan mudah untuk terbang. Jom cuba!

Pelancaran Roket (17 - 23 Ogos 2020)

Dalam pelajaran ini, pelajar akan mengenali pelbagai komponen roket dan fungsinya. Pelajar juga akan meneroka reaksi kimia yang digunakan dan bagaimana ia menghasilkan tekanan udara yang kemudian melancarkan roket mereka!

Hoverkraf (24 - 30 Ogos 2020)

Waktu Kelas : 10 pagi Atau 2.30 Petang (1 Jam)

Hoverkraf mempunyai sedikit bahagian kapal, sedikit bahagian kapal terbang dan sedikit bahagian helikopter. Hoverkraf terdapat pelbagai bentuk dan saiz,dari saiz feri penumpang raksasa yang dapat membawa ratusan orang, sehingga ke saiz kapal penyelamat pantai yang lebih kecil. Menggunakan kekuatan sebiji belon, pelajari cara membuat hoverkraf yang meluncur di lantai dan kelihatan seperti terapung.

Coder Z (27 July 2020 - 30 August 2020)

Class Time : 11.30am or 4pm (1 hour session)

Recommended 4 weekly sessions to cover different aspects of programming.

Give your kids the coding advantage. Learn to drive, steer and program a virtual robot in our Virtual Robotics Workshops. Must be able to work with the mouse and keyboard.

  • PC or Laptop with most recent version of Chrome Browser, a minimum 64 bit CPU and 4 GB of RAM memory (8GB is recommended)
  • A notebook or a stack of rough paper
  • Pen or pencil

Paper Plane Launcher (27 july - 2 August 2020)

Class Time : 10am or 2.30pm (1 hour session)

Get a flying start to your day with this challenge: Try throwing a paper airplane by moving just your wrist (don’t move your elbow or shoulder). It’s hard, isn’t it? How could you get a paper airplane to fly far if you can use only a short distance to launch it? Try this challenge to find out!

Helicopter (3 - 9 August 2020)

Class Time : 10am Or 2.30pm (1 hour session)

The distinctive sound of approaching helicopters will often send kids running to find the huge machine flying through the air. Lets make a model helicopter and discover how revolving rotors create propulsion and lift to help it fly.

Rocket Launcher (10 - 16 August 2020)

Class Time : 10am Or 2.30pm (1 hour session)

Explore rocket science by designing and building a rocket launcher. Learn the physics of motion and understand how thrust changes under different conditions.

Rockets (17 - 23 August 2020)

Class Time : 10am Or 2.30pm (1 hour session)

Get a glimpse into the world of rocketry and aerodynamics with your own pneumatically driven rocket. Learn how launch angles, mass, and fin design, have an effect on total flight distance. Then test and modify the design to improve your rocket’s performance.

  • 1 Piece of paper cut into a circle with a 20 cm diameter ( this will be to create a target)
  • 4-5 non bendable straws ( this will be slightly bigger than the launcher straw, his will be used to make the fuselage in method 1)
  • 1 A4 paper ( for making the fuselage in method 2)
  • 5-10 pcs of notecards (to make the fins)
  • 1 Bendable straw (will be use as a launcher for the rocket if the student did not build the launcher)
  • 4-5 small balls of modeling clay/playdoh (about the size of a marble, this will function as the nose cone)
  • Pencils
  • Rulers
  • Markers

  • Clear tape
  • Tape measure/ long ruler

Lunar Lander (24 - 30 August 2020)

Class Time : 10am Or 2.30pm (1 hour session)

Design and build a lunar lander -a shock-absorbing system that will protect your “astronauts” when they land. Explore the concepts of aerospace engineering and understand the power of energy.

Technical Setup

We will be running this online class via Zoom, a relatively easy-to-use video conferencing app. We are exercising best practices with respect to security. Rest assured, we are applying best practices in utilising Zoom to ensure security during our class. You can connect to Zoom on your desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone. We will email / whatsapp meeting details a day before the class, and a reminder about 30 minutes before the class, so please do keep an eye out for our messages! Our instructor will be online and ready to assist with set up 30 minutes before the class. Please try to log in to Zoom 5 minutes before the scheduled class time so we can start the class on time, and please allocate at least 60 mins for this activity.
